This Is The Amount Of Gold You Can Bring To India As An NRI

Indians are one of the largest consumers of gold produced all over the world and Indians are famous worldwide for their everlasting love of this yellow metal. All for good reasons though, we assure you! While the Indians living in India are good at this, NRIs are even more so when it comes to owning more gold. So find out how much gold you can carry with you to India if you are an NRI, before you get flight tickets from Calgary to Mumbai on Tripbeam.

Gold has long been a mandatory traditional jewellery metal used for any and all auspicious occasions such as pujas, havan, marriages, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. This is perhaps the exact reason why not only women, but even men in India own gold jewellery like chains, rings or bracelets, etc. It is also a highly liquid investment and has significant resistance to market fluctuations which makes it even more worthy of purchase.

This is also the reason why NRIs prefer sourcing gold from the outside to bring to India because they can get good quality at favourable prices from abroad. They can bring it in either the form of solid gold or jewellery, whatever suits them best. This is why it is important for you to have legal clarity regarding the matter if you are an NRI or if you have a family member who is an NRI.
